Louis Stedman-Bryce: Championing Change in Children’s Care
In January 2025, Louis Stedman Bryce launched iNKFISH Care, introducing a groundbreaking model known as iNKFISH 1 2 3: one home, two children, three care pathways. Over the next four years, Louis and his team are committed to opening 32 specialist children’s homes alongside four educational hubs, providing vital care for young people with Special Educational Needs (SEND).
The first six homes are set to open later this year, marking a significant milestone in a journey dedicated to transforming children’s care in the UK.Louis’s commitment to this cause runs deep. From escaping an abusive childhood at 15 to becoming Scotland’s first Black parliamentarian, Louis has always fought for change. With no prior political experience, he launched a historic campaign that led to him becoming the first Black parliamentarian ever elected in Scotland, securing his place in the European Parliament after receiving almost 250,000 votes, whilst defeating all three of the UK’s main political parties.
​This unprecedented achievement demonstrated his ability to challenge the system and accomplish what many deemed impossible.
Louis’s advocacy work in the House of Lords and years spent developing innovative care models have laid the foundation for iNKFISH Care, a project built to challenge the status quo and create safe, nurturing environments where children can heal and thrive.
For the last five years, Louis has dedicated his life to iNKFISH, developing concepts and strategies to change the lives of vulnerable children. This vision is not just about providing homes; it’s about offering tailored care and educational support in an environment where children can build the future they deserve.

Later this year, Louis will announce a new pilot project in collaboration with several local authorities, a venture he believes has the potential to change the face of children’s services for good. This initiative will further cement iNKFISH's mission of delivering innovative solutions that break down barriers and provide children with the chance to succeed, regardless of their past.
